Refund Policy

Effective: May 2025

1. Digital Service — Right of Withdrawal

SimCockpit is a digital subscription service. When you subscribe to a paid plan, you are asked to explicitly confirm that you request immediate access to the Service and that you understand your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal lapses at that point, in accordance with § 356 (5) of the German Civil Code (BGB) and Art. 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

Because the service is delivered in full immediately upon subscription, we are generally unable to offer refunds after checkout is completed.

2. Exceptions — When We Refund

We will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:

  • Technical failure: The Service was entirely unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours within your billing period and we were unable to resolve it.
  • Duplicate charge: You were charged more than once for the same subscription period due to a billing error.
  • Unauthorized transaction: You did not authorize the charge and report it within 14 days.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time via Dashboard → Billing → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain full access until then. No partial refunds are issued for unused days within a billing period.

4. How to Request a Refund

Email support@simcockpit.net with your account email, the date of the charge, and a brief description of the reason. We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed via Stripe and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.

5. Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in permanent account suspension. We encourage you to reach out — most issues can be resolved without involving your bank.

6. Governing Law

This Refund Policy is governed by German law. Mandatory consumer protection rights under your country of residence remain unaffected.
